K I'm super impressed by this. Really couldn't stand the orchestral ambient direction they were heading in because every song seemed to follow the same formula, but there's so much subtle creativity on this and it works really well

Great review. This was my favorite record of the year, though. And possibly my second favorite Hammock release, only behind Raising Your Voice. Out of the 150+ records I checked out in 2019, this one was the most therapeutic for me.

I didn't know about Undercurrents and I'm just now finding out about the Longest Year rerelease, dang

new EP dropped! it's called Dying Alone and has Elsewhere on it, which is incredible

Of course I’m one of the first people to rate Elsewhere 😆 it’s super consistent and gorgeous as they really continue to dig into their ambient style. Hoping for a style change next album but damned if Someday and Future Past aren’t fucking incredible.

Going by their most recent Facebook post, back in early May, we can expect a more guitar oriented album from them soon. I'm stoked by that, and this first single (no announcement, but it's very likely to be) is beautiful.
