Jammin'. "Banish from Sanctuary" is definitely a good start even though I already knew that track.

I think it doesn't reach the highs of Battalions, it starts great but it gets a bit tiring. Sitting on a 3.5 as of now, it's great but it needs its own Run For The Night or Majesty.

It's a slight step down from Battalions for me even though Fast to Madness is the only track I don't enjoy that much from this album.

There is something in Battalions' energy that really resonates with me, it has high chances of remaining my favorite BG even after listening to all of the rest.

The first two used to be my favorites when I first got into the band but given the time I appreciated their 1990-98 work more. Even though Battalions and Follow are more raw and thrashy, their next albums feel more complete and creative to me. Have you checked bits and pieces from the following albums yet?

I should have heard at least one track from each studio album. That said save for the first two the only one I heard in full is SFB for the reasons stated in the Battalions thread. It's definitely another contender for my first place.

Oh definitely. SFB has been my favorite Guardian for a long time now even though Tales from the Twilight World and Nightfall in Middle-Earth are very close contenders.
