Yeah I’m not feeling much of a desire to return after my initial stint unfortunately, although I’m still intrigued by their past material, particularly Contradiction.

Contradiction is great, give it a spin, maybe its prog Behemoth vibe will be more to your liking

I really didn’t like the last Behemoth album, The Satanist was pretty good though. I’ll check regardless.

Ah right that’s cool, not heard any of their earlier material tbh.

I have no idea who schaliach are, but if they're remotely similar to these guys, I have to check them out.
|

Def a 4 for me
had to bump Triangle a notch

Schaliach aren’t anything like this Notrap, think it must’ve been a joke based on their band name similarity. They’re cool though, melo-death partly by a dude who went on to be part of Extol.

Somehow I knew you'd give this a 3
It's almost like you're intentionally rating 90% of the stuff 0.5 lower than me

I jammed this again today while on the road for work, no question it's aoty in my book
i totally understand anyone who would put HHotHR over this, and I love that album, but this one is just so unique, atmospheric, catchy, dark. i can't get enough

Awesome pick. It's hard for me to choose between Hearts of No Light and The Furnaces of Palingenesia

You are killing it with those reviews Notrap.
Finally jamming this, Triangle was good and this is just as good so far.

Definitely didn't see "A Paradigm of Beauty" coming, lol, suddenly they go all Goth Rock and it's amazing.

Gracias Dewinged. Hahah yeah, that song comes out of nowhere, I like the contrast. Do you know Heroes del Silencio? a bit like Heroes meets Rotting Christ, cool stuff.
|
| |
On point. Big fan of Heroes of course!
|
| |
I like how "Paradigm of Beauty" suddenly throws some morbid sounding post-punk at us
|
| |
About time I heard this. It's really good.
I'm feeling accessible DSO with a dash of Batushka.
|
| |
I really wish these guys would go full on goth rock in the future lol
