Tasty, it's actually a nice way to describe their sound. Tasty Swiss blackened progressive esoterism.

Just checking in to say I'm gonna jam the hell out of this band when I get the chance, perhaps as early as next week. Had my eye on these guys for a while and this sounds interesting. I might try Contradiction and this back-to-back(ish), then wait a bit for them to sink in (and if I dig), then 'Try'-angle (lol?). Any reason why that's a potentially sub-optimal way of doing things apart from the obvious non-chronological thing?

Cool review btw, POS.

I second that InFlamesWeThrash

That's great Demon.

Well, think of their beginnings as something like progressive Behemoth (Satanica era). They've been adding more and more progressive / eclectic elements along the way, shaping a sound with greater personality.

This is the band's best album, in my opinion. I'd start here and go back to Contradiction (another excellent release). I think it might be a good start.

Its no Contradiction, or even Triangle for that matter, but this is still pretty neat

I find this to be the most listenable album by Schammasch in its entirety tbh.

I love Triangle and dig Contradiction, but holy shit Triangle is a patience check sometimes.

I checked out some of their other stuff, and from what I've heard this is the only one I really enjoyed

Yesterday, one of the people from the agency, who came into my office, asked if I was listening to esoteric music.

I found it interesting, because the person doesn't know the band or even less the metal scene of the last ten years.

It's great to see Hearts of No Light as the 15th trendy album at the moment, not bad.
