I'll be surprised/erect if they ever put out a better song than Cherished.

Idk man

Any time a new Counterparts album it always seems incrementally better than the last so you know what? Fuck, maybe it can happen.

The albums keep getting better for the most part but I don’t think anything will come close to The Disconnect for me ngl

It was an old shitty android phone that busted like a week later. :[ I met him at the 2017 Warped Tour at their merch table. Had no idea he was there. I just wanted to buy a shirt and sure as shit the legend himself was standing right in front of me. He was super down to earth and we had a great chat. Proud moment of my life lol

Met Brendan in high school in Jackson, Mississippi. They'd just come out with The Current Will Carry Us and were on tour with Shai Hulud. I told him how much I loved the band and their lyrics and how much I dug their new songwriting direction and shit. Was so damn cool. Got to two-step to The Disconnect.

Btw Witness is still one of the best snapshots of depression I've ever seen in a song. I got into these guys when I was 15 and they're still so good 10 years later.

He's an awesome dude for sure. His social media is a hilarious 180 from his lyricism, which has also helped me big time with my depression issues.

TEAR THE TEARS OUT OF MY OPEN EYES

FOR I NO LONGER NEED TO DROWN

IN THE OCEAN OF ANOTHERRRR

Bro the part where he screams "Pull the nameless arrow from my chest" is maybe the sickest reference I've seen a band make to one of their own songs. Fucking magnificent.
