IB isn't better than Clarity. For my money it's better than Chase This Light and Invented. But aside from that it sits somewhere in the middle as a solid Jimmy album.

Agreed on Futures. But Futures is my second best so far. Only ones I haven’t heard at this point are IB and this, of course. But I have it pre ordered.

Man I'm honestly really glad you appreciate Invented so much. It doesn't work for me, but I love to see that some of the band's more recent outputs are still striking a chord with people. (2010 weirdly feels recent in terms of Jimmy's discog)

From your rankings I'm going to predict you will like IB more than Surviving, as IB is more in the Clarity/Invented camp stylistically, where Surviving is more like Bleed/Damage/Chase

Invented is highly underrated. One of their best.

Haha I’ve been surprised here and there myself. I guess I like darker Jimmy — Clarity/Futures/Invented/IB (most likely). I like their poppy side as well, I even love some songs on CTL, but pop has never really been my thing. That said, this isn’t just straight up pop we’re talking about here.

555 is out in the UK on iTunes. I just can't get into it unfortunately. Lyrics are great but they're less intelligible on the album than they were live. And the production is nothing like what I was expecting. So much echo. Maybe I have demo-itis and I will get over it in time.

Told you, it is the poppiest song on the album. I think most people will regard it as the worst thing here though, so take that for what you will.

Yeah I see what you mean now definitely. The live version had a much more chilled vibe with a lot of clarity in the instruments and lyrics. I guess it being live added somewhat of a darker reverb/atmosphere to it too. The lyrics really are brilliant and very sad, but it just doesn't come across that way on the album. I truly hope I will find it to be the worst song on the album, as you said. Also not a fan of Love Never, but I know I will really like Criminal Energy, Surviving and One Mil, judging from the live recordings, and I also really like All the Way (Stay) so I'm still hopeful. I just wish I could get a Jimmy album where I don't want to skip a single track.
