I remember listening to The Flood and thinking this band would just become the poster child for post-hardcore but since restoring force I've just stopped listening since every single was just wak....

Might give this album a listen tho, nice review

Album is honestly kind of surprising. I've never been much for generic metalcore/post-hardcore, but this is their best album since restoring force. It's not exactly a sign of life as much as a refusal to die in the gutter.

I would never have guessed you settled on a 4. Review doesn't make you sound too thrilled. Good review though, , just doesn't line up with the score.

Restoring Force was the biggest shit pile until Cold World and Defy produced bloody, tar-filled diarrhea. This is an album 10 years too late and not with the times or current trends in the genre.

How many lyric clichés and lazy melodic vocals can you throw in one album? Songwriting ain't all bad tho

Dude. For real. If it's not some silly cliché then it's some ridiculous shit. Like in Mushroom Cloud with the "3, 2, 1 BOOM". I like his voice quite a bit but that's fucking cringey.

"Restoring Force was the biggest shit pile until Cold World and Defy produced bloody, tar-filled diarrhea."

This sounds more like the sputnik opinion I thought existed!

"This is an album 10 years too late and not with the times or current trends in the genre."

So what? Whats wrong with a nice rip down scene kid memory lane?
