Just revisited after a long time. I didn't remember how much of a change this one already was compared to the debut... I thought only with shepherds dog they would have really expanded their sound. Anyway the debut remains their crowning achievement for me...

Finally got to this - a lot of it has too much of an anemic Sufjan vibe for me, but the highlights are really great. Cinder and Smoke and Passing Afternoon are perfect

Oh I was already on this page lol. Anyway good take Johnny. I have it on a 4 but it’s prob a 3.5 tbh. As I said above, the In the Reins (collab EP with Calexico backing).

I like this one. Some of the songs are pretty simple but good melodies and lyrics. 'Fever Dream' is my favourite. It's very pretty.
