"anyone else see Toby trying to beef on Cult of Luna for beefing on AILD?"

I stumbled upon that last night.

not sure why toby is made out to be such a jerk. I saw him twice, he is quite stoic but still seemed appreciative of the praise I gave him. def thinking of upping my score on this too, its a major grower. parts that bothered my before are becoming more tolerable

He doesn’t sugarcoat his frustrations with fans and the industry but overall he seems very level headed and respectful

Did we all see this?:
I’m working on two new, separate, solo recordings now. There’s nothing special about them, they’re just going to distract me from feeling bad for a couple months

I heard him play some of his new solo stuff, it felt like a departure from the last solo record. Really bluesy and mathy I thought. Very good

I have little doubt that Toby's new solo stuff will be better than Blasphemy

Kayo Dot were at their best when more of the original members were present. Where did everyone go?

This thread sure got negative

What original members were there besides Mia Matsumiya? The band has always been Toby and her along with a revolving cast of collaborators and instrumentalists, until she left after Hubardo.

Ron Varod is still with them on guitar, but we're missing a lot of the members that would play various horn sections, flute, clarinet, etc. Terran Olson was a regularly occurring member, as well as Tim Byrnes. I miss Keith Abrams on drums. He's much better than two drummers IMO. When they played some tracks from Dowsing, Choirs or Hubardo live with only drums, guitar and bass you'd really notice those members being absent.

I thought you meant original members like from the Choirs of the Eye era.

Toby said something on Twitter about people stealing his drummers so I presume Keith was poached by a younger, hotter band

not sugarcoating frustrations doesn't have to mean acting like fucking manchild. i'm sure he's a nice guy and all but the dude needs to realize what's okay to go public with and what's not
