This is very agreeable. A bit too monotonous maybe, I think I wish they had more personality.
also not enough blasts

True...I have to agree with that. However, on closer listen, after jamming both this and previous, I found this interestingly balladesque x)

''Definitely adds nothing to previous effort but I guess this solid sound is all you gonna get.''
Very true.

I'd like a bit more variation, but generally really digging their overall sound.

Singer reminds me of Sakis from mid 90's Rotting Christ. Except Rotting Christ are not so repetitive and Sakis has not a project with which has released an album called "Judenfrei". Mgla couldn't even defend theirselves on /Nazi sympathisers/ accusations. What a disgrace.

Man, agreed hard. I love and dig often Rotting's albums 'till Sanctus Diavolos back in 2004, after that i think they became "ritualistically bland" if you know what i mean. Still lov'em though.
"thing is, their weird "apolitical" excuses achieve the exact opposite of convincing people you've changed."
Exactly man. Their excuses when their shows were cancelled back in April were foggy at least. And they dare call their album "Age of Excuse" lol. For me, this is an extremely important matter.

They're still signed on Aspa's record label so i highly doubt that

But does all of these ties make they themselves sympathizers? I'm not gonna say it's not a bad look and that Aspa isn't one fishy bastard but idk. Maybe I give too much of the benefit of a doubt.

It’s way too many red flags for me, especially since Aspa and Clandestine Blaze are without a doubt a directly fascist band. It’s not that Mgla associate with people that associate with nazis, it’s that they directly associate with actual nazis and then pose as apolitical.

So what? Is this a universal alibi in space and time for dontgiveashit attitude about craponazi sympathisers? Don't get your point at all.

I'm just saying that if you are going to make the claim of not being able to separate 'art' from 'artist', it seems extremely naive and tone deaf to do so selectively.
