I'd agree. Thing is, liking this band is loaded as the fanship is one of the most obnoxious going, and buying into to it (especially at this stage) would be pretty hard going. I'd say it's hard to just absorb it in a vacuum (as it should be when hearing something for the first time).
I was lucky in that sense, that I heard the 'Aenima' title track when I was 17 and had never heard of them. Near impossible to approach this band in that way nowadays, I reckon.

I see alot of ppl always saying tool fans are abnoxious but tbh the ppl hating on tool and it's fanbase is even worse. There are alot of tool fans that just dig the band and no go completely overboard like me. But some of you guys going out of your way to complain constantly about how you don't like the music and talk a bunch of nonsense about others is at a completely different level. What's worse fans of the band or keyboard warriors saying for the millionth time they don't like tool? I'd go option 2
