HZD is an objectively trash game, let's not argue about something that's not worth arguing about. Just like we can all peacefully agree that Culling Voices is by far the worst Tool song ever put out. Ok? Ok!
"I'm pretty sure experiencing HZD live would be life-transforming on a level few things could compare to"
Yeah, I experienced the horror of finishing the game on 120+ fps. Yeah, it transformed my life in so many ways. One way is that I will never buy a game from this developer ever again. It was even more cringy than Control.

Tool fans be like "man, 120+ fps is the same as being mauled to death irl by future robots"

I thought you referred to rellik009's comments about critical acclaim, and by experiencing this game "live" you meant playing it yourself instead of reading/watching reviews from critics lol.
Also, I'm not a Tool fan, I'm just someone who understand why they're the best band ever. I really don't care too much about them these days and I hate Maynard with a passion. Also, I'd take new Beach House and MGMT albums over new Tool albums anytime, they're more fun to listen to! : )

I wonder how Tool fans feel when they see that this thread has been hijacked by weebs, spiritual overlords and gaming junkies.

We love it. Continue mucking about here all you like. It’s a persistent confirmation of this bands greatness.

I've also got a few friends who'll say the same, although it can get repetitive extremely fast if you don't get immersed right away.

speaking as a Tool fan, isn't this kind of their target audience [2]
Bumped my rating down. It's still good, but they've done better.

Broad stereotyping of an entire fan base is certainly one way to go about it.
