It's a really tough call, but I'd go with Undertow being their worst. I used to think this was the weakest, but it's grown on me the past month or so. Undertow / 10K / FI are all about the same to me in terms of quality.

This is their weakest but I totally get any answer tbh. Imo Lateralus is obviously the best, but I can understand any Tool ranking (like I can any Death ranking) since they're all so good.

I've tried this record so many times, on my own accord, and because my wife loves it. Nothing about this has ever grown on me from the first time I listened to it. Thought 7empest was incredible, and found the rest to range from okay to thoroughly boring. Then we saw them live on the FI cycle, and hearing the t/t live made that grow on me, but nothing else they played off this did. I don't think its doo doo metal, just find it to feel uninspired

uninspired is a fair comment, and how some might think it's a hackneyed attempt at recreating their sound, but calling it unlistenable, as many have, is a little strange to me

The alien noise on Chocolate Chip Trip is very annoying and ruins the song, but I wouldn't call anything else unlistenable.



I'm just very happy they use a different backing track when they play it live
