Album wouldn’t be able to fit in one disc with the interludes in it lol

the album 100% flows better without the interludes, Descending even already has a whole minute of ambiance to flow on from Invincible at the start of it anyway, so idk why they thought it needed an extra 2 minutes of fuckery

honestly i reckon the interludes are just incentive by the band to get you to spend $200 on the physical copy

also I guess "Chocolate Chip Trip" is kind of an exception in that it seems like it's supposed to stay in the tracklist

The only interlude that's useless is Mockingbeat. At least the other two are sort of interesting and feel like they fit with the vibes of the album.
I don't think Legion Inoculant is placed well in the track list, as Invincible leads into Descending very well. And like Jas said, Descending already has two minutes of ambiance to start.

tbh that one with the french title is lame as shit, i don't really see what its adding to the party
i guess i'm sorta let down by Chocolate Chip Trip because I was naively praying against all hope when i heard descriptions of it that they were finally doing a studio version of Merkaba lol

Album artwork reminds me some kind of a digital "eye". Or a digital "black hole". Can't decide which. Very trippy....

It still doesn't have those euphoric gut-punches that the last two had for me. The peaks and troughs are much more shallow. Not so bad, it's just a milder album.
But like I've said, I think 10k Days is the best thing they've done, so not many people are going to agree with what I say about Tool. Haha.

Also, there's a slight reservation I have about a few of the guitar sections. I'm kinda wishing Jones was a little more creative in parts. Some of it can come off lazy, but I haven't settled on that yet.

Yeah I mean all of the best rhythms and riffages here just sound like rehashes of the best rhythms and riffages on their past albums. Not necessarily a bad thing if it's used sparingly rather than in a way that makes it seem like they were running out of ideas but for me this fell into a grey area where I would have rather just been listening to the old ones.
