Commenting on an online forum to state that I don't care for anyone's negative opinion toward this record, doesn't by default mean the opposite.

Didn't you state you don't care "what anyone says"? So that would be good or bad, not negative right? What is your point actually.

Thanks Notrap, this is worthy of least a casual listen. Background noise etc

Absolute, boring shit. What drives me crazy is how they've just done away with any nuances or intricacies in their sound. They used to connect riffs with fast, little licks, They would disrupt the tempo of the songs to give it some variety and bounce. Now, there's little to no melodeath influence anymore and every single song has like .... the same boring ass powerchord riffs. Blah. Jesse sounds like shit too. His voice is good but the dude hasn't crafted single memorable melody or harmony since Disarm the Descent.

it's really not about who is at the helm of the vox, but the music is just so blahhh .... they've embraced that octane radio sound and just aren't letting go

It kinda is for me, Jesse is a very by-the-numbers vocalist for me nowadays.

they're all too old to be doing this, they should just play indie now

It’s weird because Jesse’s passionate delivery is one of the main things that made AOJB such a standout. To hear him just going through the motions is a shame, but I guess that’s aging and touring. As TheSpirit was saying though, the music has fallen off a cliff since the early days too

His vocals on AOJB are what caused him to leave the band, dude ruined his voice.

He sounded so impassioned on that record though yeah, loved it.

What the hell are people on about? This is their second best album behind alive or just breathing. Songwriting is great, good vocals and a lot of passion and energy. Howards material was trash compared to this, his high pitched scream and lyrics were unbearable
