"Also there's no fucking way you read this review."
First three paragraphs were enough. I looked at the rest of the review after reading them and when I saw he had included lyrics I saw no reason to continue.

"the best album of the Seventies"
While I think the title track is a great song, I just don't get how anyone could make a call like this based on the rest of it. Even Syd wasn't feeling it that hard.

There isnt much information out there about syds thoughts on pink floyds commercial direction. I doubt that is true.

I read somewhere he pitched out of the blue while they were recording, and they played the Shine suite for him. He supposedly said "It sounds a bit old". Maybe it's not true about his statement, but even the band said he was there for a day.

I doubt it’s a first print. I got it a few years back. Not when it was first published.

I kinda think it was a gift, but I can’t remember. I’ve had it too long to never have read it tbh. I used to read a lot of musician and band biographies, and I think that’s why someone got it for me. But I was just starting to read more fiction. That and I didn’t feel like I’d heard enough Floyd to justify starting it. I may pick it up soon though.
