Sorry, Hawks. Not a Cradle fan.
But truth be told, I used to be. I really liked their first two albums. Dusk and Cruelty were decent enough.
It all went down hill from there.

Damn I couldn’t disagree harder. Jam their last 2 albums I think you might dig.
Also not sure how you find Dusk/Cruelty only decent and don’t like Midian but opinions. m/

Alrighty then. But I simply can't imagine me changing my position on Thornography, though. Ever.
Edit: Back in the days, I found Midian to be offensively inoffensive. Especially for what was supposed to be a black metal band.

Eh I’m clearly in the minority on this one along with a few other people but I’m fine with that lol.

Agreed to disagree, with all due respect. Cheers.

3.0 for this is actually generous, now that I'm thinking of it. Hmm...

Given that this is apparently one of their most riff-based albums, I can't exactly say that I'm fan of these type of riffs. They sorta just blend together rather bland and fuzzy.

I'll probably give it a go another time but will be the last for quite a while. Btw the last song (cover) kinda sucks though.

Cradle is also my favorite band, and as much as I want to like this album I just can't. My problem with it has always been the repetition and the vocals. I don't mind his mid-pitched growls but I can't stand that half-sing half-bellow such as when he goes "LIBERTINA GRIIIIIII IIIIII IIIIM!" That being said the album has it's definite high points such as Tonight in Flames, and Foetus of a New Day Kicking, two songs where that vocal style I just said I couldn't stand actually works very well. Though it's at the bottom tier I still find a few moments that I genuinely love in this release
