"recently caught them live at a festival and the only memorable thing about their set were the big singles, all played last rip"

Maybe because that's the stuff you had prior knowledge and appreciation of, and it all came at once?..

"I don't understand how listening to this is any less embarrassing than listening to Nickelback :/"

Because you don't understand that you can have your own opinions about things and don't realise that just because it's popular to hate on Band X for Reason Y, doesn't mean that Band Y is bad for Reason X? Also because you actually care about which bands you publicly exclaim enjoyment of?......?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!?!?!?!

Outside the nostalgia, honestly, if you came to this stuff fresh you’d 1.5 it to oblivion

The only song I enjoyed from these guys was 'Noots', I still jam it when it pops into my mind

Bad Religion were about at my nostalgic teen phase and always were a 3 out of 5 sort of deal for me even then as there were so many better things to listen to late 80s/early 90s

This sounds like second hand BR with more commercial influences and wimpy vox

Keep coming back to ‘Heads Will Roll’. Such a fun jam.

Heads Will Roll is a bop. A few other really good tracks but I don't see how this album is any better than a 3.

I am pleasantly surprised so far. Lyrically it’s w/e but musically it bangs.

Might give this a try, re-listened to a bunch of their early singles this morning and they mostly hold up surprisingly well.

I love Dave's leads. Full of tasty stuff, catchy and just the right amount of shred

yo sowing, this is my first full album by them, although i've heard a lot of their songs growing up. they were played a lot when i was in hs. tbh this just sounds really generic to me, not my cup of tea.

This sounds like a slightly heavier Revolution Radio to me.
