Oh lawd. Sometimes I wonder if you've got to come from a certain demographic to enjoy certain kinds of music.

I just love the community vibe. Couldn't shake the image of all these guys coming together in his honor, like a grand funeral concert...even though it was recorded prior to his suicide.

@pikazilla: it's not a strange idea is it? at least not if you loosen it a bit to "if you come from a certain demographic you are more likely to enjoy certain kinds of music"

The Lauren Mayberry cameo on Who'd You Kill Now makes me want more of her. Maybe not a full-blown CHVRCHES cover, but more Lauren.

I wish they gave Aaron Dessner a proper song, wouldve been interesting to see what he came up with.

I don’t like Head Rolls Off by Craig Finn cover. Never been a fan of Hold Steady either tho

not really feeling the I Feel Better, Good Arms, or Head Rolls Off covers (granted those are three of my faves on TMOF so they had high bars to clear) but the other stuff here ranges from respectable to fantastic

Love the album and love the idea behind this project and everything it stands for.
Unfortunately I didn't love the majority of the covers themselves. Not really enough energy in most of them.
The two Modern Leper covers are perhaps the standouts.
