Anyone who likes these guys should check out my former bassist's band Sunsulking. They cite these guys as their main influence

Why is the debut album so much higher rated than this one? This one is at least twice as good if not more.

I’m enjoying this one quite a bit, definitely a notch below the debut, a bit more purely slowcore and accordingly has less dynamic/more subtle songwriting, but still a very good release overall.
Will try the new one (which seems very under hyped so far) pretty soon.

Do u even slowcore? Not that this being that automatically makes it good but I have a hard time seeing how one could find this poor if they like the general style; average at worst, I’d think.

I suppose not. Although I was unaware this was going to be that style when going into it, from what I read it was a much different customer.

Fair enough I guess, I’ve definitely had a handful of albums ruined by inaccurate advertising though usually I can adjust my expectations after a couple listens. I remember being disappointed by Spiderland at first because I was expecting crescendo-core lmao.
