I’ll keep it on rotation and see if I come around to it. The latest Advance Base was one of my top albums last year, from our ratings overlap I reckon it could be very much up your street

Love that Advance Base album so much

Threads is gorgeous. So far I'm really enjoying it but I feel like there are a few choices holding it back. The use of autotune doesn't help in most cases, whereas Copeland did it just right. Sometimes this record feels like it wants to be Blushing, but is a slightly watered down version of that. Occasionally feels a little too poppy/radio friendly, almost similar to Owl City at times. Still got 5 songs left tho

Yeah this is sort of like if owl city was good

Yeah, I totally get the Owl City connection. There are times where the pop sensibilities are super strong, and in those moments I get what anatelier means about the music not fitting the theme as well. I think musically it’s more hit and miss than I’d like to admit (not a whole lot of variation), but the off moments are made up for lyrically for me and the misses are few and far between

Yeah auto tune is a but much at times but it also lends itself well to a few tracks in the same way CREEKZ or whatever that track is called does

It's such a radical departure from their debut that I was initially disappointed, but with the added context I can see myself liking this a lot more. The back half in particular is really, really strong

Yeah I was kind of shocked listening to the singles after loving their past stuff, so I wasn’t sure how I would feel about the album. But the context and story really adds something to it for me

Finally giving this a decent listen and digging it. As others have said, not convinced by all the auto-tune but it's largely forgivable.

From Indian Lakes just made me want to listen to this instead.
