One of the best "screamo" albums from around that time

Its somewhere in between Post-Hardcore and Metalcore. Where in between it is I kinda have no idea.

Pretty bad, but at least it's not as bad of a comeback as Underoath's.

There are some 3.5 quality songs on here, like the singles and the closer (though I think i enjoyed the singles more than most here on Sput). But there are some very weak songs here too. Have to agree with the review that the opener is a real mess.

Wish there were one or two “Cody songs” and one or two “TJ songs” instead of every track being a mix of the two. Not counting Blind Spots bc it’s basically an interlude

Always interesting when a band member comments on a review

I've loved their change of sound on the past few albums, but I'm really enjoying hearing them go back to their original sound for this one.

Does this album continue the trend of old Christian hardcore bands saying fuck on their new album

It's a shame because I love their old sound but I think Come Now Sleep is just so strong. That's their strongest songwriting and I think Cody needs to channel that a bit. The guitars are interesting throughout the entire album.

Couple good bangers in this and I appreciate them trying something different but, man, this just isn’t hitting it for me...

It’s not an immediate record, but I dig it. After getting past how chaotic it all feels, I really love a lot of the ideas here. Solid album imo.

"But there should be little debate that the album’s TJ-less successor, Come Now Sleep, is much better in pretty much every way."
I'm not sure I agree with this actually. It kind of came off a bit awkward to me after the debut.

bleh some decent stuff on here but compared to their old stuff this is a fart in the wind

this is so boring it’s not even worth a rating

I actually really love this album. Like it's not as good as the last two but it was never gonna be. Digging the everything at the wall style.

If posthardcore emo is still a thing you dig / I think this album is a grower.
