Taking my sister to a Tyler show for her birthday so I’ve been trying to listen to this more so I’m more familiar with the songs and I gotta say this much better than i remember it being upon release

The show definitely sold this album for me - I liked it beforehand, but seeing the songs live with all the crazy set pieces, lighting and Tyler just going mad
Dude never got out of his Igor costume either, his jacket was just soaked in sweat by the end haha

I am enjoying it, I don't know anything about the internet following, don't really care either.

there's an extra track called BOYFRIEND on the vinyl version, you might have to resort to "legal" means to acquire it cos not on streaming, but it's real fuckin good

sitting with this for awhile has changed my tune a bit. it was an exciting experiment for Tyler but the novelty wore off over time for me. I just feel like his charisma as a rapper/"singer" are virtually absent here, i don't get any sense of his personality. it's as if the vocals take a back seat to the ambitious production so much that it could easily be instrumental to virtually the same effect. i think the production here warrants a better, more diverse performance from tyler that he might not have in him considering he can't sing.

I've never thought of him as charismatic so I like that he's just in the background in this
