I always found Don't Follow incredibly depressing, actually.

I could be wrong, but I think it's about severe depression (it is an Alice in Chains tune after all) and isolation, because the guy's misery pushed everyone he cared about far away. That leads to the guy commiting suicide, not because he wants to die, not because death seems a pleasant scenario all of a sudden, but because he wants his pain to end. It's funny how it was written by Jerry but it sounds so close to Layne's story. So sad, RIP :[

I tend to like Superunknown and Badmotorfinger way more than any AiC release without counting this little fantastic E.P. right here.

Dirt edges both of those in my opinion, but they're both really amazing.
