If he didn’t say Choo-Choo so often that song would be fire. It’s funky as fuck.

I'll play the part of "fanboy", but only if I get paid in mac merch.
First track is really bad though, what a slog.

his last album was really good, better than 2 and salad fingers, for sure.

I’ve been digging Mac’s music as of late. Well, not this. But his early work is super chill. Came across all four albums at my local record store but I’m not sure which one to pick up first. What do you guys think? I’m leaning towards 2

2 is really the only thing worth looking into at this point

2 has the best song-writing, Old Dog has the best production.

your review isn't being neg'd because fanboys lol, it's just not a good review... This new album clearly falls in line with Mac's "regular" sound. I can clearly trace a line starting in 2 and ending around this, for sure. If anything, this album sounds TOO MUCH like his other records. Main problem it's got is the uninspired songwriting, slow pace and boring instrumentation.

lol there's a pretty marked difference in tone here my guy, he's never used such a sparse production style in his life and a lot of these songs are pretty different from his usual style of songwriting
|

this probably used a lot of similar equipment and maybe the same studio as Old Dog, but tonality-wise it’s way different.
