7 tracks in and I'm actually really enjoying it so far...though I guess 58 minutes may turn out a bit much...check in later for a final verdict

This is such a confusing album...I feel like the songwriting on EVERY single song is good, great ideas everywhere, which is a crazy feat for 18 songs/58 minutes but I agree with a lot of people here that there's also just something so Yikes about the whole project lol

yep, the aesthetic nausea brings this down
it's dnc convention muzak

“stranger” has an incredible chorus

Saw these guys on gulf shores this weekend, pretty great show and worked with the tropical ambience of the beach, but the singers voice is complete ass especially on the new albums songs. A-punk on the beach with a thousand people was fucking cool though
|

yeah stranger and harmony hall are excellent summer songs. haven't really connected with anything else here though. some good songs but something about the whole thing that kind of puts me off

Haha, what happened to Potsy. I don't see him commenting anymore.

Pots pops in every now and then but he’s been about as absent as you’ve been, in spurts at least.
The site as a whole has been less active the last year or so I feel, though that could just be because I myself have been less active.

This site has been declining in activity hard since like 2013, maybe earlier? Album ratings for The National might be a pretty decent guide.
