"Nothing special. It’s not bad though, but I’ve heard similar a thousand times before. Previous song is ten times better and more interesting :/"
It just clicks with me on a personal level to the point where I get completely moved by it. To me its anything but standard, because I don't have that a lot tbh.

It's very simple but it has some of the most affecting and gorgeous singing I've heard in quite a while

That’s cool, it’s a good song and I can see it’s got emotion in there, wish it hit me a bit more the same way

My only problem with it, I guess, is that it is a little predictable as a closer. Hits like a hammer though so I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I kinda agree with doof here, I think its a great track and an even better closer, but its one of th weaker songs here for me

Gotta say the production/mixing on this is giving me a hard time, the way the vocals are mixed especially is really annoying.

I like how up close the vocals feel.
I totally warmed to the vocals after about 5 or 6 listens

My problem is actually that the vocals are mixed too far back :-/

Really love how warm the vocals are on here but I'll admit I'm bad with picking apart mixing

I didn't think anything was wrong with the vocal mixing personally

I can see Boney's complaint. Thr last chorus of I'll Be You....is a little hard to hear. It's the tiniest of nitpicks but at times yeah, I wish Glen had a bit more prominence.

It’s definitely most noticeable in those first several tracks.
That aside this is giving me a hard time, so far I’m enjoying it less with each listen. :-/

Fingers crossed for the Big Thief then, you’re slaying my favourites so far this year
Well, other than Lambchop. Lambchop’s remains Lambchop.

Doof I’m having a really hard time with new music this year, lots of 3.5s but very little is clicking with me above that level. This is headed for a 3 unless I have a major revelation.

Damn, I’m having the opposite experience - best year for folk/indie folk in ages. The Delines will fall out of my top 10 of folk for the year in a week or two at this rate.
2019 > 2018 already and it’s May. Seriously.
Only potential cloud on the horizon is that National album.

I don’t know... I just don’t find myself caring as much about new music. Weed Blood is the only album by an artist I didn’t already like that’s made much of an impression on me and even that I seem to like less than many.
National will probably be my first 4.5 of the year if I’m being honest.

Yikes. I prefer about 12 songs here to any of the National pre release songs so it has it all to do to earn those stars from me
