Goal - eliminate alt rock percentage from our piechart
|
| |
Third Eye Blind fits that genre and they rule
|
| |
I have bands from the genre fived...its just dead for what I look for in music. And when you go Over 1000 rates and like all music is quite hard to move your pie chart

Alt rock has become a blanket genre over the years. So many bands get thrown under it, I am not even really sure what it is anymore.
Except for an 'alternative' to rock.

True true. Thus the almost Impossible chalenge to remove it from your pie chart lol

I was at 30% long ago. Getting it down to 24% has been quite the journey.

Yeah man lol reducing slowly my altrock and metalcore %s lol

They should just self produce the next album. Beggars had the most organic production of any of their albums and it was self produced
|
| |
TBEITBN is hilariously bad overall
Some great moments tho

Idk bout that one chief....

Alchemy and Beggars had their best production and self-produced both, they should go back to doing that

I didn't know that, but yeah, I do like the production a lot on those. They do sound a little more... natural/organic or something to that effect, than the albums after them.

phuck this band i'm not even considering listening to this
|

Vheissu was co-produced as well, I'm pretty sure Teppei does the engineering on all their records after that but I might be wrong

I don't how many 'disappointments' by this band it will take me to stop at least giving new material a try.
I could see that with Teppei. Just looked at the booklet on Palms and it says produced by eric palmquist and Thrice. It also says Teppei recorded and engineered the bass, guitar, and keys.

I'm just going to wait until the digital release comes. For what it's worth, I liked enough of "Palms" as well.

Yeah if you look up their albums on the loudness war site, TAI and Beggars have the most dynamic range by far
|

Album Rating: 4.5
these songs are better than everything on palms other than beyond the pines.

This is solid. Deeper Wells the song is raw, In this Storm is beautiful, and Stumbling West is full of soul. All three of those should have been on Palms.
