I mean, I guess but the songs just aren’t as good or memorable. Self titled is instantly memorable, catchy, energetic, better hooks, better riffs. At least half of Morbid Stuff is probably their most forgettable stuff. the best song on Morbid Stuff would be like the 3rd or 4th best song on self titled.

Came back to this and liked it a lot more, though I feel the first half is a lot stronger than the second. Maybe that will change. Have a 4 PUP.

Uhhh whaaaat no this is certainly not their best. S/T is so much stronger and more versatile. Leans more punk and just has better songwriting in general

Can we at least agree that the Dream is their worst?

This album is infectiously catchy and filled with some of their most melancholy, heart-wrenching moments. I wasn't ready for the slight change in style when it came out, but I now see it as being a great PUP record, and probably better than the S/T for me.

I have no idea how people could prefer the self-titled over this. While it has some individually good tracks, it has nowhere near the diversity or cleverness of their two following albums.

dunno what to tell ya, i just think the songwriting on s/t is better. the two newest albums are stylistically more interesting but imo the choruses and melodies and whatnot are just nowhere near as good, and songwriting is far more important than style imo (can have the former without the latter but not the latter without the former). it's because of those factors that i find the songs on s/t to be far more consistent and memorable than those of the other two. tonsa tracks on the other two that i think are just boring, forgettable, sometimes even clumsily written (doubts, old wounds, can't win, familiar patterns, scorpion hill).
