From Evereven's lofty hills

where softly silver fountains fall

his wings him bore, a wandering light,

beyond the mighty Mountain Wall.

From World's End then he turned away,

and yearned again to find afar

his home through shadow journeying,

and burning as an island star

on high above the mists he came,

a distant flame before the Sun,

a wonder ere the waking dawn

where grey the Norland waters run.

Their whole discog is pretty well loved tbh. I don't like Oath Bound or Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame but everything else is top notch.

I'd recommend just jamming them all hard.

this is among their best, for me it either Minas Morgul or Old Mornings Dawn.

Their early stuff is more Emperorish black metal + symphonic folk . Since Oathbound they've been focusing more on making it sound like a movie score

I haven't worked my way through their whole discog yet (still have Lugburz, Oath Bound, Lost Tales, and Old Mornings Dawn to go) but so far my favourite is Minas Morgul.

most overrated summoning. it's weird to me that this is their most popular release. it's still really good but their least interesting to me. also the cover isn't even as good as the others imo.
