Listening to this again and wondering on which alien planet this could be considered boring guitar work. Like what the fuck my dude. I might as well throw my guitars in a dumpster

I thought I couldn't see him... there was Misha and then the other guitarist was a dude with a beanie on so I thought he'd maybe tucked his hair up but didn't look much like him. I don't know the band well enough to know what was going on, I mainly went for Astronoid and Plini but yeah these dudes killed it, was very impressed

Yeah, they normally have three guitarists (and no bassist) but one of the guys had to drop off the tour for a family emergency. And he's arguably the best of the three and the most fun to watch. But the band does indeed slay live.

The lack of bass was really noticeable in their sound, the only thing that was a bit off-putting imo. Why doesn't Nolly play with them, or anyone really?

Not sure if it was ever actually true, but a lot of people used to think Spencer sucked ass live.

Probably gonna see these guys in February, hopefully Mark will be there.

"Why doesn't Nolly play with them, or anyone really?"

Nolly lives in the UK and had recently gotten married so he decided that hopping over to the US multiple times per year and being on the road for months at a time wasn't for him anymore. He's still involved in production and possibly writing though.

And I think the band opted not to replace him for reasons of pragmatism. They have good chemistry between them already and bringing in a new full-time member is always a risk to the existing continuity, chemistry and camaraderie. Plus it means that profits have to be split one more way.
