really liking this so far, but id heard some singles from her before all the whining went down so i had a feeling id be in the minority there

And that's totally fair Sowing, I feel like I'll always have a soft spot for it since I was raised on some really good folky female singer-songwriters by my dad (:

the plant comments are weird, her entire persona screams authentic. Marketable as fuck because depressed teen girl is relatable? Absolutely. A plant? Not everything has to be a conspiracy

her parents are both musicians with industry connections, she went to a prestigious music school in la, got signed to interscope before she released her first single...

the college admissions scandal should make people think more critically about how privilege works in the music industry. she's undoubtedly had an advantage over her peers.

If a person has rich parents and went to a music school they can’t be edgy and depressed

I really liked her part in Denzel Curry's Sirens but the single I heard was horrid. Guess I'll give this a go. I don't care where she comes from or who are her ancestors.

It's officially not a Doof 0.5 on RYM so it won't make the worst 200 of the decade - at least for me
