This album hits way harder than i ever expected. Their previous album was catchy and the cleans were promising. But this is like... oof. So good.

Wasn t expecting to like this. Also pos for the review and the bravery of comparing with RoN, I see the resemblance. Guitars and vocals are so damn thick and gotta love when they take those heavy riffs slowly and kinda doomy.

I expected to like this but it seemed pretty flat to me

I guess adding cleans vocals makes this automatically good?
There’s still hardly any riffs here, mindless chugga chugga 1-2 note stuff all over.
I’ll give them props for experimenting slightly, but I really don’t get the overly positive reaction to this one.

yeh this is awful tbh. vocals are cringe tbh, that horrible american nu-metal / radio rock flavourless schmutz

Vocal s are cool. Low growls are thick af, but I get those 1,2 notes chugs critique though.

Dogshit trash
but I'm not surprised that people like it, many people like to eat shit for breakfast, lunch and dinner

Damn, I remember when I first heard Somantic Defilement. I was wondering how long it would take Whitechapel to do clean vocals. Honestly, I am quite shocked because the recent trend in the last 5 years has been bands that used to scream, no longer scream and lose their sense of musical direction or their identity in the process. This album is how you change into a more accessible forum of Metalcore without alienating fans.
