Comparing this to fall be kind is literally the only way that anyone could have possibly ever piqued my interest

Sorry Pots I should clarify that I don't think this actually sounds like FBK, just the best thing since

I enjoyed this on first spin but there wasn’t anything that made me think I’m going to enjoy it on the same level as the AnCo classics.

Most consistent AnCo release overall for me...but consistency isn't everything so I'd still rate Strawb Jam over this for the variety and high points.

'Feels' is about on the same level as this - maybe still a shade better in the long run, see how this ages.

I'm an Avey man all the way though, so it was always likely if he got his sh't together and released a consistent 'pure Avey' album I'd rank it higher than most folk.

I’m ignorant, I can’t even tell Avey and Panda apart on AnCo records, their voices sound exactly the same to me and I can’t distiguish their stylistic touches either. This could be a full AnCo album and I wouldn’t know the difference. :-/

The lack of any overtly Beach Boy harmonies on this a clue to no PB. He's the smooth.

Also no hocketing, yay :D

Avey is the band's lead singer though effectively, way I've always seen it. Panda is more 'oh, it's PB on lead vocals, makes a change'.

Then you've got Deakin who can't really sing bless the fella but we all like him

Would be a good idea to hear some Panda solo records. Hard to miss the differences after that.

If someone's screech screaming, making creepy animal-esque noises or doing fast paced vocals on any AnCo album it's 99% it's Avey who's responsible

Yeah luci I’ve yet to hear a Panda solo album, that might do the trick. I guess Person Pitch is the one to try?

From what you say tough Doof it sounds then like Panda is the more pop of the two...which means I probably prefer Panda to Avey as I enjoy AnCo most at their poppiest. From what I’ve heard at least.
