I prefer Heaven and Hell to this album, but this are both awesome and they fit in nicely with the other albums on my CD shelf.
|

Both different albums but in any case I easily prefer this. It might even be my second fave Maiden

This is my sixth favorite Maiden, with Killers at seven, and the first five with Bruce being my lyrical, instrumental, and vocal favorites. With Bruce they became one of the greatest vocal metal bands on the planet, rivaling even 70s Rainbow and 70s Judas Priest.

Damn, both the Di'Anno albums are top 5 Maiden for me. I prefer his vocals to Bruce overall

Do you like his more gutteral 3rd and 4th octave performances more than Bruce's operatic 5th octave soars?
|
| |
Yeah, Ive always dug more grittier vocalists

But Ozzy isn't very gritty, Nero...... DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUN

I like this better than Piece of Mind and probably a bit better than Somewhere In Time, but yeah the Dickinson era is way, way more memorable if you ask me.

This album sure is a hell of a lot better than anything they released after the 80s. I even prefer this to the first three sextet Maiden albums mostly because of the songwriting.
|
| |
Obviously. Nothing after the 80s comes close to the first 7 really.
|

A Matter of Life and Death does.
