negative reviews because we know what they are capable of, and this is sooo far below that bar. They're getting really lazy, and the reception is indicative of that.

I get your point, but at the same time it surprises me that so few people include comparable releases in their considerations. Lets take PWD and Reverence, now thats a bad release and uninspired as *uck.
WSL try and combine at least clean parts, synthies etc. while PWD just slam the same track ten times in a row missing all of their interesting trademarks.
WSL does the same but not to that extend. So what? is nothing more then just more melodic as ever before. Yes it's predictable, we don't have to discuss about this. But it's fun listening to and they didn't threw all their trademarks over board like PWD did...

i just listened to a couple songs off this and at the best bits were like daybreaker era architects rip offs and daybreaker was only a 3 anyway so ppppffffft

The first half of the album is decent. There's still quite a bit of energy and intensity. By the end though it's really watered down and boring. There's nothing on here that even comes close to being as good as Revolt, You Are We, Four Walls or Trophies of Violence for me.

Reverence is a lot of fun and has this kind of loose, dudes-playing-heavy-metal kinda vibe whereas this just feels like "Bring Me the Horizon did it, we can do it too!"
