Uneven listen, with a couple of great songs and a couple of horrible ones. I really liked Deep Inside and Stay With Me. If they intent to stay softer, I think that's the kind of songs they should strive for, and not the juvenile abomination that is (This is our) House.

I’m not really happy with the comparisons I see between this and Playground.... This is less than barely listenable, like stale was the goal in mind. I don’t need these guys to go back to their first couple of albums. Just need them to try a little.
As for the review, I don’t see a lot more that needs to be said (other than note examples of what the other guys have said) but I think you should visit the proofreading forum. You’ve obviously become too accustomed to your frequent output of reviews you no longer know how (or simply can’t) self proof. Even reaching out to a couple of fellow users and the use of a shared google doc can help, but flat out ignoring the criticism of what readers “want” to be seeing isn’t going to help you develop as a writer or the reader themselves.

Too much autotune, dude sounds like a robot just like most other overly clean sounding metalcore vocalists.

"The riffage has never left in flames"
I guess if you consider Bjorn's uninspired nu-metal-version-of-Jesper style "riffage", then sure, the riffage never left.

I'm working on my notes for this album at the moment.
This album is a 3 IF I'm feeling generous.

It's pretty much just a BB tribute record with slightly heavier vocals.

I heard worse (Looking at you Siren Charms & Battles). Some solid tunes, mostly held back by stadium rock refrains.
Deep Inside is a really poor Amorphis track tbh

Review is fairly standard/not notable, the amount of negs is pretty odd. People would normally pass over this kind of thing.
As for the album, probably sucks.

honestly i dont think ive ever seen so many clichés together in a single song, "generic" would be a compliment
"You say you want it all
But with the demons in your head
You can't see straight
But give me a chance to be the light
To guide you through and be your eyes
The darkness in your soul
Always a part of you
I'll be by your side
Just follow me, follow me
Follow me, don't be afraid
I will lead you to a better place
Free from the sorrows away from the let downs
You will find a home
I never thought it would come to this
What are you waiting for?
I forgave myself for my mistakes
Why are you holding on?
From ashes you will rise
I'll walk a thousand miles
You know I'll never give up
Just follow me, follow me
Follow me, don't be afraid
I will lead you to a better place
Free from the sorrows away from the let downs
You will find a home
I never thought it would come to this"

Holy hell. If I wouldn't know where that came from I'd guess Vampire diaries or something.

ok so this is average... they took literally zero risks, which resulted in a (mostly) listenable album - overall better than battles and siren. but while i find myself occasionaly listening to one or two tracks from their previous 2 records (bonus songs from siren charms, with eyes wide open, the end, battles t/t) i don't think i'll ever revisit any of this
it's often okay but never interesting

truly no idea why this review has so many negs, it's fairly well-written and I think most people here agree with most of the points you make. Have a pos

Nobody in this band gives a shit anymore. Theres proof Bjorn doesnt. Hes in The Black Dahlia Murder's documentary where he says something along the lines of, "seeing TBDM live make me wish i was doing something else. But hey, we make more money."
Band is a paycheck now, nothing more.

I do like “I Am Above” but I won’t listen to this whole thing

The fact that they are touring with All Hail the Yeti and Within Temptation is the perfect statement of how rock bottom this band has hit
