Nice, would be good if they played SFAM or Awake in its entirety, or even covered a full album by another band, but I think that was one of good old Portnoy’s schemes.

I doubt it, i’ve seen them in festivals before, they only have like a 50 minute slot and they’ll just play the faves like “Pull me under” and some easier songs for Labries voice along with some new jank.

Notrap & Omairsh!

"I need to see Titan’s argument"

"Titan's justification could shift your opinion? :D"

A little fanboyism indeed, but I'm really enjoying the record. I love the flow of the first 4 tracks, especially the first 3. Their beauty wasn't captured when they were released as the singles.

I'm digging the heavily influenced Jon Lord keys peppered throughout the album as well, especially on Viper King. They wrote another awesome ballad with Out Of Reach which is perfectly placed and I like the fact that they avoided an epic on this one.

Going to see them April 26 in St. Petersburg, splurged on the meet and greet, and sitting second row dead center. Not too many chances left for that.

Many will criticize me for it haha, but overall, these guys make the cut for my Big 3.

I share similar sentiments about this album. I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would. It has this nostalgic feeling to it at times, so it's taking me back to undergrad when I first discovered DT

You're right, the singles fit better in the context of the album though Fall into the light has the least replay value for me right now, apart from the first minute or so

That (least replay value) would be Room 137 for me, although it is a cool song. I really like the middle section of Fall Into the Light (and those Jon Lord keys at the end of it!)

Yeah it's mid section is good as well, but the verses and the chorus aren't doing much for me.

I like 137 more than I thought I would. 137 and Paralyzed had the potential to become like BMU, BMD but thankfully they didn't

Those chugging hooks of Paralyzed which follow Untethered....works well.....and it's another song where the verses are far better than the chorus

Yeah the riffs are good on Paralyzed, and on this album in general. I love Paralyzed's chorus

haha and on another note, a straight up Rush ripoff

i see that they are symbolizing it as d/t (distance over time)

At Wit's End is very Under A Glass Moon. I'm surprised no one said anything about that

Also, what is BMU and BMD?

I didn't get a Glass Moon vibe from AWE tbh, but it's one of the best on here for me. Petrucci's shredded riffs are really good in the beginning
