I have mixed feelings with the singles, some good stuff, some... not so good, especially regarding the vocals, we'll see.

Sleep Whisper bangs, that heavy bridge riff is like something straight out of Air

Other singles are pretty good too. I am feeling medium levels of hype

The singles have muddy production and more thrashy vibes than this, a la their debut. But didn't realise it was out! Gonna jam on the train back from Meshuggah tonight

I loved their debut, but it was also like the very first dream thrash album I'd ever heard so I was an incredibly impressionable target

i'm pretty sure they are the ones that coined the term dream thrash. if we are being honest, i do get its appeal and if i were to spin it optimistically i would call it black thrash-lite. to me it's more neutered black thrash

they fooled me when I went to see Tesseract and wandered into them playing Air's title track and it blew my fucking lid off ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Excited, cautiously, for this one. I know it came out last night but I want to listen to it under very specific circumstances so I don't zone out!

Air is probably in my top 10 albums of the 2010s lol

Really enjoyed the first listen of the new one, moreso than my first listen of this album. Definite Air vibes coming through, though a little more subdued
