tbf, this record is less accessible than tts imo. it might be focused on electronics and pop melodies, but this shit can get real at times.

You mean selling out, ripping off LP and ripping off the Black Album's cover? You got that covered. That album proved how big of fakes and sell-outs they are. They have been ridiculed since they formed and released Count Your Blessings. If anything, they have gained more ridicule and criticism for selling out on Amo and That's the Spirit. Look at the average score for both albums and then compare them to Sempiternal. Nothing on this album is new. Nothing on this album screams innovation. It is another generic electronic rock album that will be forgotten in 2 months. Generic Metalcore died with That's The Spirit and ripping off LP and other contemporaries became such a trend that Underoath ripped off BMTH last year with Erase Me.

Heavy metal is so damn funny yet embarrassing. Oli is attempting to call people out because they say it’s not “heavy metal”. I feel like this band is literally trolling everyone but at the same time getting even bigger and making more money with two massive sellout shifts in their sound . Also I’m actually very surprise this is getting some decent scores around here considering how badly received that’s the spirit was for the most part at first . I don’t see how anyone could think this is better than that’s the spirit which was also middle of the road but had some decent tracks on it that saved it from being completely mediocre. I’m guessing there’s just not much music to listen to lately....
