Tobacco honestly gave him much better production which he needed.
I haven't fully picked apart all the meanings of the songs, but jesus it's certainly something.
If this was another Aes album without Tobacco it'd be much worse, but since the production is vastly different and a much needed spice up, this makes it better.
Also the goddamn flows
I also felt like a genius when i figured out what one of his verses meant, but he's becoming a bit less overly verbose, so that's that

I checked out the first track and was pretty pleasantly surprised with tobacco's production honestly

@hank I find virtually all of tobacco's solo stuff and bmsr's material post dandelion gum to be really flat and samey so hearing him do something a little different was nice

God I can't stand aesop rock, so boring
|
| |
never really delved into his stuff, all I know is I liked him in the track he did with DOOM in ‘01

Aes is good, Impossible Kid is great

Labor Days is a borderline hip hop classic, Daylight/No Regrets are top tier hip hop tracks, and his latest album was dope af. Both much better than this hank.
Also there are some dope songs he does with Hail Mary Mallon, like Jonathan.

First two tracks slap. His word play on Tuesday is fucking $$$.
Tobacco fucking crushed this.

Love both early and late era Aes for different reasons, and this project is another winner. Granted, I'm a sucker for this kind of production (huge props to TOBACCO), but I feel like Rock did the instrumentals enough justice.

Aes kills these beats. I had been procrastinating listening to the full album but it's a great collab

This is way better than the first few listens indicated.
Aes' stuff has always rewarded repeat listens

Aesop is great, but half of the beats on this album are outright terrible.
