yea why the fuck is jason, who has time and again proven to be one of the best singers in the genre, being autotuned of all people

okay fuck me, I wrote this when I was halfway into this album, which was pretty decent. Now I am through. The second half is worse than 50 munich olympics. That album closer is the worst thing I have listened to in a while.

Will check this. I actually really liked their EP so I think I’ll probably like it more than most. I get why people would hate this, but I enjoyed the style enough on the EP and love Jason as an artist enough to justify a listen

jason is maybe my favorite vocalist this decade but even i cant back this

on repeated listens the choruses stick a little bit more and the areas where he flies off are better but the rapping and lyrics are so bad ugh

a big problem for this album is that it's supposed to get you so pumped and hyped but everything (aside from when Jason sings and screams, instead of rapping poorly) just sounds so weak and watered down in terms of the songwriting

Yeah, not to mention the charm faded pretty quickly.

i wonder if the weak and watered down songwriting can be traced to feldy because of his notorious reputation of doing that to everyone he’s worked with this decade because essentially everything they’re trying to do is ripped straight from banshee and that track fucking rips but i feel like even if they were working with someone more respectable it still wouldn’t have turned out great

@Inx5: To be honest, I expected a little more consistency from a guy who thrashed Theory of a Deadman as hard as he did on Regretting the Past. Dude also gave I Prevail a 7, like wtf that's Theory of a Deadman with screams and breakdowns you idiot.

I cannot imagine your suffering considering all the weak albums he recently put out (except maybe Pressure Cracks).

Based off what I heard of them when I had the misfortune of seeing them live... this average is too high. Time to spin this to see if they actually improved

This is pure agony beat for beat. I was feeling a 1.5 after the first couple tracks, as there were a couple moments where I was like “okay I see what someone might enjoy in this” but from One of Us onward, there’s just absolutely nothing redeemable. One of the worst records I’ve ever heard.

They sound basically the same on record as they do live. I’ll say that they do bring a lot of energy to the stage. They have great stage presence. But when the music is so offensively terrible, that means nothing. Basically, if you can even tolerate their music, they’d prob be fun for you to see live.

Man I’ve defended some panned albums quite vehemently (see Parkway Drive - Reverence) but nah I can’t even with this
