jupiter 4 and comeback kid did nothing for me in advance of the record so now my hype has again been deflated

oi fuck off both of you stop being wonderful. also sowing for what it's worth i don't like those two anywhere near as much as pretty much every other song on the album. i can't get enough of Hands in particular, it's stunning

the hype rollercoaster make it stop

im at work and can't take a stance on this yet but I'm guessing I'll end up having a similar score to you verdant based on (1) sharon van etten rules and (2) singles usually don't do much for me as a rule of thumb and (3) seventeen alone makes this a 3+

...allow me some hyperbole here, I'm supposed to be asleep but I just keep looping that track thinking I can see myself coming back to it for the rest of my life. Christ what a song

I Told You Everything, Comeback Kid, Seventeen are all winners. Not a mediocre song yet, got three left.

yea dude, it's good... i love the general vibe and atmosphere this album creates, and that it sticks with it.

I love when albums do that, i rather have a consise album with a fixed idea of what it wants to be and that sticks with it than a jumpy album going all over the place. Shows that the artist knows what it wants, and that the band, production and recording are all on the same page.
