Zeitgeist isn’t that bad really.

It honestly probably isn’t their worst album, but I rank it as their worst along with this purely because they feel like cash ins. At least the majority of their work, no matter how mediocre a lot of it is, feels sincere at the very least.

Even the shittiest songs on Zeitgeist have an awesome riff, beat or hook to make it interesting, this album just seems highly inoffensive and way too safe, although the songwriting is definitely stronger than the last few. Zeitgeist evokes plenty of nostalgia for the old days and plays more to their musical strengths imo, this is just way too happy and the heavier tracks are toothless.

I enjoy Zeitgeist more than anything that came after it. Not saying it's a great album, but nonetheless...

Even more than Oceania? I consider that to be their only good album post break up.

Oceania was better than Zeitgeist. There's really only three bad-ish songs on it, the rest are solid to great

Yeah Oceania is a solid 3.5/4. Think I would have given it a 4 at first, but eventually settled on 3.5.

Zeitgeist is awesome. Eating here is far too low

Zeitgeist is alright. Not as bad as people say. About a 3 imo.

Zeitgeist is pretty killer tbh. Some of Billy and Jimmy's finest moments musically

Oceania might be better on paper, but Zeit is about a zillion times more fun to listen to

Honestly I'd probably place Zeit above Oceania now. Front to back it's a much more fun and traditional SP-sounding record, agreed

at the end of the day, even if they are shitty records, at least we have cute pet names for each of them
