It lacks some of their previous weirdness but this is the platonic ideal for how death metal should sound in the 2010s-2020s, perfect production, maddening and endless tremolo riffs, maniacal vocals.

yeah this album doesn't have those characteristics, which is odd considering this album is influenced by Lovecraftian themes.
