This was enjoyable but I think I was expecting something more intense - either musically or poignantly. This sort of floated by, nice and melodic though. If there's great lyrical depth or emotional impact hopefully it'll reveal itself more to me over the next couple listens.

I may be biased considering they have been my most played lately, but I think it’ll grow on you Sowing

This is pleasant enough. Certainly better than I was expecting, but still failing to see how this is anything special. Seems like the userbase really overrates new post hardcore and [especially] metalcore albums here. Like SowingSeason, I'm not really getting much out of this lyrically or emotionally. Maybe I'm just getting too old for this genre.

As a long time fan who fell off after Devin initially left, this was incredible. It really pulls from all of their greatest moments without sounding like the recycled anything.

Emery has been one of my favorites forever. It was off to a bad start being released to campaign backers the same day as [Untitled] though lol. I need to give my mind some space and then come back to this.

Pretty decent although it didn't do that much for me. Streets of Gold was nice

Yeah Streets of Gold was a standout for me

This album is frustrating because I feel like I constantly shit on this album when I talk about it with my friends, then I inevitably say "but I still like it." Safe honestly might be my favorite song Emery has ever written, but some of the tracks just don't work for me. Also, Toby at this point should probably just drop the screams altogether, they sound so worn out and shredded. His and Devin's cleans can easily carry an album. I don't know, I feel this will be an album that I'll end up loving by the end of the year, but I'm not there yet, which sucks because I love this band so much.

thanks Josh
Dan, and here you are still giving it a 4 haha

@tyman128 Yep, I do still like it, it's just a bit inconsistent, and it is a little disappointing since I 5d their last album.

that's on you bruh. you've been an experienced music listener long enough to not go album to album expecting continuances of quality and direction and what you expect. a 4 should not be a disappointment from any perspective just because you 5'd the previous album

[2] hard, I was surprised when he said it was disappointing when it was still given a 4

This is such a 5. The concept of a regular album is shattered at this point. I'll take a collection of 15 songs even if they don't typically fit and flow together. It's still perfect.
