I've listened to some random tracks of them a while back and own Anastasis. Never been really into them yet, should I change that?

Same here Rodrigo.

Trif, there's little chance this one will change your feelings about them, if that's the case.

Beautiful, didn't hear it but I'm pretty eager to listen to this album, will catch up later. Just in case you didn't notice, my friend, that Dead Can Dance are influential in not just the folk scene, but the alternative rock circles, as you can hear their influence in bands like Slowdive and Nine Inch Nails. Not in terms of the DCD style, but the way how they utilise ambience to enhance the beauty effect.

Trif, I suggest you to spin The Serpent's Egg and Within The Realm of The Dying Sun then, they are probably their best release and make me fell in love with their style.

I'm all for patience and atmospherics, but this was dreadfully boring. Album art is nice, at least.

It's not meant to be a thrilling experience, that's for sure.

I'll look into those Sherlock, thanks! I've heard so many bands list them as major influence that I'm almost sure I should be able to find something that I'll like in their discog.
Any other recs of them Dewi?
Love the cover of this anyway.

Trif, definitely get into Lisa Gerrard's solo works. The one Phoenix quoted in the last page is amazing too. From DCD, Within the Realm is a must, maybe their best, objectively speaking. If you like the vibe of this one check Spiritchaser!

Dw I didn't know either lol, it's pretty good yeah. Since this one doesn't feature much of Lisa's voice her solo one makes up for it.
