Lmao you're actually right; I've had a really loose shift today and had time to think over it. Album is great but even though it's not short it flies fast and permian is not either musical or lyrical resolution to it. Who knows, maybe with 2nd part it'll feel complete and truly become 5 material

I disagree about the reviewer-objectivity thing. Surely the ability to recognise your own biases is valuable but I think a reviewer's best quality is consistency. If they are consistent across the body of their work, you can get an indication of what the characteristics of the thing being reviewed are and aid your own judgement.
Like, if X reviewer values stuff like a certain kind of production style in a genre and deems Y album of having good production quality, I will get an idea of what it is, regardless if I agree with their measurements. To add to that, there's usually enough voices in any given medium of criticism that most biases are bound to be represented by someone.
That said, album still bangs, can't wait for part 2.
