Went into this not expecting to like any single part of it and I found it pretty enjoyable.
I can't get over his higher vocal pitch on some of the flows and it does affect my enjoyment of the album as a whole, but his screams are compelling and he manages to do the 'calm/demonic spoken word' bits quite well without them coming off too cringey.
Production is pretty solid too, not so DIY it's unlistenable.
Good review, man. Shame I can't enjoy it quite as much as you!

I also was hoping to enjoy this a bit more. I feel like so many songs are trying to do the same thing. His quiet throaty vocals are almost non-existent and his high-pitched rapping really bothers me. Some of the lyrics are reeeal stinkers. "I think I was born in the wrong generation / nobody talks to me, nobody is relating" ughhhhh.
Hope I find more to appreciate on the next spin, because in theory I should be super down with this

Lyrically I agree it's pretty surface level but it's pretty much just a toxic experiment into the worst side / psyche of himself. Not excusing the questionable lines but I wouldn't enjoy this as much if he tried too hard in that department, definitely comes off naturally ig

Theres actually some prettty interesting ideas on this. I feel like some of the transistions of genres are a bit forced. Also the SUPER HEAVY BASS thing gets kinda old fast. Ill prob spin this a bit more.
