Idk the production on this is pretty weird. Why downtune a guitar that much just to lpf it in the post-production or whatever the hell they did. I get that it makes for a cleaner sound but it just doesn't suite music this tar-like. It feels hollow.

It's not too gritty for sure but the album has a rather broosing atmosphere backing everything which I feel benefits from the cleaner production. Especially when some of those weird electronics come in i.e the breakdown on the last track

Doesn't hit nearly as hard as I thought it would. Even then, it's easy to be heavy, that's not special. You have to actually inject some songwriting variety, which this does not have.
Like I said, Erdve is leagues better than this in every regard. This album wishes it was that cool, but it's simply Black Tongue doing their thing again. I detected no difference

Idk, I think they've finally started to stray from just doing constant chugs and managed to intersperse a lot of legit aludgy riffs. Hell they even managed to slip a Celtic Frost cover in and make it their own.
But hey, I'm a simple man, I like simple things and their over the top heaviness is fun as fuck to me.
